30 Days of Jojo: Part 6

6: Favorite Minor Character

I absolutely love these dorks. Oingo and Boingo are the quintessential sibling team…too bad they are remarkably terrible in combat. In fact, I would even say that they are the most realistic depiction of siblings I have seen in anime in a long time as they support one another and genuinely care about each other. Too bad they got themselves pulled into Dio’s web of servitute. They are still entertaining and provide some of the funniest moments of Stardust Crusaders. Also there’s this:

Honorable Mentions:

Oh Hol Horse you poor bastard. Although not quite as much of a screw up as the aforementioned Oingo and Boingo, Hol Horse manages to be so inefficient as a villain that he comes off as goofy and likeable. An arrogant “supporting man” and unabashed womanizer, Hol Horse starts out as a formidable opponent, but as soon as he is taken down a couple pegs he turns into more of a thorn in one’s backside. His teamwork with Boingo is the icing on the cake. I can’t help but love this guy.

Some people would consider her annoying, but honestly, I find Suzie Q adorable, endearing and funny. Her relationship with Joseph is wonderful. She is a bit of a ditz, but this makes her believable. Not everyone can be a genius, and her humanity contrasts strongly with the larger than life characters of Battle Tendency. I like her character and I am glad that, like her equally goofy husband, she returned for a couple parts of the series after Part 2.
